I'd love to see them bring back the Tour De France Sports car race (Not the Bike one) and Rouen too as not only was it a stage in the Tour De France. For those of you that don't know it was a sort of Rally where the drivers would drive across France (And some yearsBelguim) and have mini races at tracks such as Pau, Rouen etc. and also timed Hillclimbs.
Here is the wikipedia page on the subject:

Found this very un-PC but amusing pic on Autosport's nostalgia forum, showing a structure some of the campers at the 1974 Watkins Glen US GP had created, using empty beer cans and sticks. It took me a second or two to work out it wasn't a watermark on the pic.

More stuff from Watkins Glen, these are all pics from the 1966 US GP. I love the beefy cars from that year with their visible engines and complex exhaust plumbing arrangements.

Found this great picture of a board track outside LA. Caption says 1900, but it looks more like 1920s to me – very atmospheric.

Found this amazing picture of the newly built Brands Hatch taken in 1950. Not exactly a lost track, just lost to F1.

Prompted by brg's mention of The Palace in the London GP thread, here are a few pics of then and now, found on the Sydenham Town Forum: http://forum.sydenham.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=5199&p=41201

Here's another pic from posted by alansart on the autosport nostalgia forum. It shows the course of the track at Park Curve and graphically illustrates how close the houses were to the track, why there were complaints about noise and why it would be difficult to resurrect the circuit now.

These should probably go in the Pescara thread, but they seem to fit here too. Some pics of the roads as they are today, and also in use (Masten Gregory's Centro Sud Maserati 250F (top) and Achile Varzi's Auto Union type B (3rd).
